Gimp / Braids / Tapes Trims
Gimp / Braids / Tapes by the yard are flat trims that range in size from ½” to 3 or even 4” in width. Gimp is mostly used in upholstery to cover staples and to cover the raw edges of the fabric along wood. Braids and tapes tend to be more decorative and are used in draperies and window treatments (apply along the edging to add interest), cornices, toss pillows, pillow shams and even bedding. Gimps, braids, and tapes can also be used along the top and bottom edges of lamp shades.
